chicken chow mein for this restaurant dish you will need sliced chicken, to marinate the chicken you will need minced garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, oyster sauce, black pepper, and sugar, you will also need egg noodles, along with soy sauce and olive oil, for the vegetables we are using sliced carrot, red and and green bell peppers, celery, yellow onion and cabbage along with oyster sauce, soy sauce, sesame oil, black pepper, sesame oil, black pepper, kosher salt, sugar and olive oil.
First the marinade.
in a medium sauce pan combine minced garlic, say sauce, sesame oil, oyster sauce, black pepper and sugar,mix together.
now add the chicken, marinate the chicken for 30 minutes.
while the chicken is marinating blanch the egg noodles in the boiling water.
is very important to completely drain the egg noodles.
using a large wok cook the cook the marinated chicken olive oil, set the fully cooked chicken aside, now cook the vegetables.
olive oil, sliced carrot, celery, cabbage, yellow onion, red and green bell peppers, soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, kosher salt, sugar and black pepper partially cook the vegetables.
now set the partially cooked vegetables aside.
now cook the egg noodles, olive oil, cook the egg noodles about two minutes soy sauce, add the cooked chicken, and cooked vegetables, and here you have a delicious classic restaurant dish, chicken chow mein.
